Senior Computer Vision Engineer (m/f/d) | Fulltime | Remote
Your Mission at vialytics
You play a key role in shaping the core Computer Vision and AI systems that enable cities to automatically assess and understand the condition of their road infrastructure. Your mission is to drive the continuous improvement of our models and AI workflows — making them robust, scalable, and reliable in real-world conditions. Through accurate damage detection, meaningful evaluations, and intelligent agent-based systems, your work empowers municipalities and partners to make better, data-driven decisions. What you build directly supports public services and has a measurable, real-world impact on how cities plan, maintain, and operate their infrastructure.

Your contribution to the product
Design and develop applied Computer Vision solutions, taking models from experimentation to production using modern best practices.
Train, fine-tune, and improve Computer Vision models, ensuring robust performance across real-world scenarios.
Define and maintain annotation guidelines and labeling strategies to ensure high-quality datasets for model training and evaluation.
Perform systematic error analysis and model debugging, translating findings into measurable improvements.
Maintain and enhance existing Computer Vision models with a focus on scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
Contribute to Agentic AI initiatives, including prompt engineering for LLM-based agents and evaluation of agent behavior and performance.
Translate Computer Vision model outputs into standardized road condition assessment and rating systems, enabling consistent and interpretable results.
Take ownership of your domain, proactively identify shortcomings, propose improvements, and deliver high-impact results with minimal supervision.
Key Skills you need to succeed in this role
Strong experience in applied Computer Vision, including Object Detection, Image Classification, Semantic Segmentation and Structure from Motion.
Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Visual Large Language Models (VLMs).
Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
Creativity and the ability to challenge the status quo and established assumptions
Willingness to reassess and correct current decisions when data or evidence suggests a better approach.
Strong analytical skills for error analysis, model debugging, and performance optimization
High level of perseverance, resilience, and frustration tolerance when working on complex, ambiguous problems.
Genuine passion for Computer Vision and AI, with a strong drive to continuously improve systems and outcomes.
Ability to take ownership of complex topics and deliver results independently.
